Steering Committee Publishes Officer Election Results

The Hickman Steering Committee made public the results of the 2021-2022 Officer elections shortly after school (6:10 PM) on Friday, May 14. The election marks a series of notable achievements:

• First school-wide officer election event delivered virtually

• First school-wide officer election since the COVID-19 pandemic

• Highest voter turn out on record for any Steering Officer Election with 703 student voters (the previous record set was 576)

Individual Race Details

Treasurer:

Jenna Morgan: 315 (46.7%)

Bryce Robinson: 282 (41.8%)

Ehta Htoo: 78 (11.6%)

Secretary:

Hannah Snodgrass: 332 (49.6%)

Abby Eddy: 174 (26%)

Jocelyn Perkinson: 163 (24.4%)

Vice President:

Davis Mosby: 256 (39.6%)

Rahmat Adekunle: 226 (32.6%)

Taehee Oh: 212 (30.5%)

President:

Stephen You: 526 (76%)

Gus Lookingbill: 134 (19.4%)

Zashaud Strickland: 32 (4.6%)

Steering Subcommittee positions have yet to be decided for the upcoming school year. Applications close next Friday (May 21st) and officer candidates who were not elected are eligible to run.
